Fernando A. Amandi has over 35 years experience in Senior Executive and General Management positions with four US multinational companies (Citigroup, Motorola, American Express, and Sears Roebuck) with United States and Worldwide responsibilities. He is the former Chief Operating Officer for Citibank Consumer Bank International in Latin America, President of Motorola International Network Ventures based in London, England and Senior Vice President and General Manager of the American Express Consumer Financial Services Division in Latin America.

With a corporate background that includes vast experience and knowledge in the areas of Banking, Telecommunications, Financial Services, Credit Cards, Retail, Travel and Tourism, Mr. Amandi has initiated and led a wide variety of global businesses, operating divisions and joint venture companies. He has been a leading advocate in the areas of international commerce and entrepreneurship, with a special concentration and expertise in Latin America and the Caribbean.

At present, he is the President of Fanta Real Estate Investments, LLC, based in Coral Gables, Florida. Mr. Amandi is fluent in both English and Spanish and is a gifted public speaker, writer and published author. He has extensive involvement in foreign affairs and social causes. He is a world traveler and maintains homes in Coral Gables and Saint Johns, Florida as well as Blowing Rock, North Carolina.

Mr. Amandi attended the University of Miami majoring in Economics, with Graduate Senior Management studies at Columbia University. He is currently a member of the President’s Council at the University of Miami whose mission is to serve in an advisory capacity to the President and the Board of Trustees providing expertise in areas of critical importance to the University.

He served honorably in the US Army Reserves of the Florida National Guard as a Non-Commissioned Officer for 6 years and was Co Chairman of John Kerry for President National Hispanic Council. He is a current Member of President Obama’s National Hispanic Council.

A committed family man he has been married for 37 years to his wife Teresita and together they have raised two grown children - son Fernand and daughter Theresa Lynn.
