Captain James D’Itri, Jr. has been a United States Marine Corps comptroller for nearly a decade.  He comes to us from Programs & Resources, Headquarters, Marine Corps, where he handled legislative affairs out of the Budget and Congressional Coordination Branch. 

Prior to that, Captain D’Itri was selected as a Calendar Year 2014 Department of Defense Congressional Fellow.  He completed his fellowship with the Office of U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein, where he handled a portfolio comprised of matters pertaining to defense, foreign affairs, veterans affairs, and trade. 

Prior to that, Captain D’Itri was the first financial management officer assigned to the Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center in Bridgeport, CA, building the Comptroller Officer from the ground floor.  Captain D’Itri has also served as a comptroller with the 1st Marine Logistics Group, Camp Pendleton, CA, and deployed as a foreign security force advisor to both the Iraqi Department of Border Enforcement and the Al Anbar Provincial Police Department. 

Captain D’Itri has a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Bucknell University.
