Col Chuck Brewer
Colonel Chuck Brewer is the USMC Military representative to the Defense Business Board. He brings 27 years of both military and civilian experience.
As an intelligence officer, Colonel Brewer has served in a wide variety of roles, in both the active duty and reserve components. These assignments range from Fleet Marine Force (FMF) deployments to serving as the N2 for a recent NATO Exercise. Colonel Brewer served two combat tours in Iraq during OIF 2. Prior to his current assignment with the DBB, his last two tours were as the Assistant Chief of Staff for Intelligence (AC/S G-2) for both MARFORCOM and MARFORPAC in Norfolk VA and Camp Smith HI, respectively.
Colonel Brewer has extensive experience in corporate strategy, mergers, business transformation, and enterprise-wide project implementation. Earlier in his career, he held roles including VP of Strategy, VP of Operations, and finally Chief of Staff to the CEO of a $50bn company. Recently in his career, he managed a portfolio of companies for the Marcus Lemonis Group, which is a multi-million dollar portfolio of retail, manufacturing and e-commerce businesses acquired from the successful CNBC television show ‘The Profit’ hosted by billionaire / investor Marcus Lemonis. This organization acted as a private equity firm and focused on investing in and helping transform businesses.
Colonel Brewer earned a bachelors from the University of North Carolina Greensboro, a Masters in Liberal Arts from Harvard University, and a Masters of Business Administration from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
