Ms. Leah Glaccum serves as the Administrative Assistant for the Defense Business Board (DBB). Her primary focus is to support the Director and staff to ensure all Board operations run smoothly and efficiently in the dynamic environment of the Pentagon and the Department of Defense (DoD).
Leah brings over 20+ years of management experience in a variety of industries including manufacturing, education, and wellness. Her drive for continuous improvement, both professionally and personally, is a great fit at the DBB where best practices and recommendations are developed to maximize DoD efficiency in support of the National Defense Strategy and our warfighters around the world.
As the spouse of a retired Colonel in the US Air Force, Leah has supported the DoD in a variety of roles including serving as a Commander’s Key Spouse, along with leadership positions for both military and local community organizations. Earlier in her career, she gained experience in supply chain management supervising production of a high-technology semi-conductor manufacturing firm and leading the materials department of a high-volume international manufacturing organization specializing in automotive parts for new vehicles.
Leah holds an MBA from West Coast University and earned a Bachelor of Arts with distinction in Management and Communication from The College of St. Scholastica. She is married to Michael Glaccum, Col (Ret.) and has three children. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, teaching yoga, and creating healthy meals for family and friends.
